Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI) edited and issued the Egyptian Journal of Petroleum since 1991, which is considered the sole scientific Journal in the Middle East publishing research in the fields of crude oil, natural gas, energy, and related subjects. Its objective is to serve as a forum for research and development. Preserving its continued progress after being abstracted and digitalized with ISSN 1110-0621. Egyptian Journal of Petroleum is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. In 2011, EGYJP was produced and hosted by Elsevier-opening a wide scope before our scientists to reach Globalization. In 2024, EGYJP has been hosted by Digital Commons Elsevier.
Egyptian Journal of Petroleum (EGYJP) is addressed to the fields of hydrocarbon exploration and analysis including crude oil, natural gas, energy, and related subjects. It also publishes original research papers and reviews in areas relating to synthetic fuels and lubricants; pollution; corrosion; alternate sources of energy; gasification, liquefaction, and geology of coal; tar sands and oil shale; and biomass as a source of renewable energy. To meet with these requirements, the Egyptian Journal of Petroleum welcomes manuscripts and review papers reporting on the state-of-the-art in the aforementioned topics. The Egyptian Journal of Petroleum is also willing to publish the proceedings of petroleum and energy-related conferences in a single volume form.
The article is subject to peer review and published exclusively in English with open access availability. It follows a quarterly publication schedule, with each volume comprising four issues, and welcomes submissions of both Research Papers and Review Articles. Notably, it is indexed in esteemed databases such as Scopus and DOAJ, and INSpec ensuring wide visibility and scholarly recognition.
