Abstract
Mechanism of enhanced oil recovery primarily changes the wettability of reservoir formation from oil-wet to water-wet, Hence the rock will love water more than oil, thus the amount of oil recovery will be increased from it. This study was aimed to enhance oil recovery throughout wettability alteration from (oil wet to water wet) in C member of Abu Roach in Western Desert using nanotechnology technique which can change the properties of rocks, Wettability alteration is crucial as it impacts the volume of extracted oil from a reservoir. This study examines the impact of different nanomaterials on investigation of the wettability, specifically focusing on the contact angle of brine phase in a Sandstone reservoir. We will focus on Titanium Oxide and Zirconium oxide nanomaterials. As a result of detection, the author expected to increase oil recovery using the nanomaterials.
